I drove to Cobham with a rising nervous feeling. After all, XR650Ls don't come up for sale 2nd hand very often, and I'd been thinking about purchasing one since before the Desert Riders project, which reaffirmed my belief that I was on the right track.

The bike didn't have any instruments...	Check out the silencer (yuck!)	Jeremy had already fitted the oil cooler	Pre-rebuild. No sumpguard fitted
