For independent travellers it is essential to register with the British Embassy as soon as possible after clearing customs. This gives you a point of emergency contact and support, and is also recommended by funding bodies and insurance companies.

British Embassy addresses and contact information follows. During the expedition we will travel through France, Italy, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia, Austria, and Switzerland. Although some nations will be visited twice, their Embassy locations are not duplicated - embassies are listed in the proposed order in which the countries will be visited.
